The Giants returned kicker Josh Brown to the active roster on Monday after the completion of his one-game suspension in a move that left them with two kickers.
The remedy to that appears to be the return of defensive tackle Montori Hughes. Agent Audie Attar said Tuesday that his client has re-signed with the Giants after being released in the cut to 53 players.
Hughes, a 2013 fifth-round choice of the Colts, signed to the Giants’ practice squad last September. He was elevated to the active roster in November and had six tackles in seven games over the remainder of the season.
The Giants haven’t announced the move. Randy Bullock, who kicked in place of Brown, made two of the three extra points he attempted in the 20-19 win over the Cowboys.
UPDATE 2:26 p.m. ET: The Giants confirmed Hughes’ return and announced that Bullock has been released.
