Sammy Watkins dresses for walkthrough Tuesday

The Bills listed wide receiver Sammy Watkins as a non-participant in Tuesday’s practice, although that wasn’t an entirely accurate description of his workload.

Chris Brown of the team’s website explained that Watkins, who said his surgically-repaired foot felt “tired” after the season opener, would not have been a participant had the team held a normal practice, but they didn’t hold a normal practice two days before hosting the Jets. The team held a walkthrough instead and Watkins was dressed for that scaled-back session.

Watkins said Monday that he will definitely play against the Jets, something that coach Rex Ryan said, via the Buffalo News, he assumes is accurate on Tuesday.

Ryan wasn’t as willing to make assumptions in any direction regarding left tackle Cordy Glenn. Glenn injured his ankle on Sunday after dealing with an injury to the same ankle that kept him out of the preseason. Ryan said he wouldn’t rule Glenn out at this point, although framing it that way does make it seem likelier than having Glenn in the lineup.
