Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier told reporters Thursday that his injured knee “is feeling a lot better” and said he “should be ready to go” for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals.

I plan on playing,” he said.

Shazier left last Monday’s win over the Redskins in the fourth quarter. He said after the game but he would be fine, but Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he wouldn’t make any rulings until the team’s medical staff fully evaluated Shazier.

Shazier didn’t practice Wednesday but said he “knocked some rust off” in Thursday’s practice. Though he was careful to say that Tomlin would have to tell reporters exactly what he heard from doctors, Shazier sounded like he’ll be ready for Sunday assumuing there are no setbacks.

Shazier is going to have another good game. Dalton throws at least two picks and Shazier gets his second pick of the season.

Wouldn’t be right for him not to play against Cincy, they are really looking forward to seeing him.

Last week he had six tackles, an interception, a pass defense and a forced fumble. I give less than half a crap what his critics say, those are the kind of numbers that get you in the pro bowl by the end of the year. He’s not just the fastest linebacker by far in the NFL, he’s one of the fastest players, period. Oh and also he works out with James Harrison. I’m glad he’s in Pittsburgh.

    Go Steelers!
