Jameis Winston: It’s just one game

The Buccaneers beat the Falcons 31-24 last Sunday for their first season-opening win since 2012 and their first time winning on the road in Week One since 2005.

There was some good buzz about the Bucs heading into the season and players say they’ve noticed it pick up over the last few days as a result of the victory. They want to keep that building, but the fact that it’s just one week can’t be ignored.

Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy says it’s “great to feel like we’re turning that corner,” but says it will take 10 wins for him to get excited. Quarterback Jameis Winston didn’t put a number on it, but knows that it’s more than one.

“A lot of people looked down on us, but … it’s just one game,” Winston said, via ESPN.com. “The same people that are praising us right now, if we lose by one point they’re going to be saying how bad we [stunk], so we’ve just got to keep getting better and we’ve got to keep improving, because that’s NFL football.”

This weekend brings a good road test for the Buccaneers as they travel to Arizona to face the Cardinals. The Cardinals lost to the Patriots at home last Sunday and two straight home losses is certainly something they’ll want to avoid to start a season that many feel has a lot of promise.

He’s paraphrasing from his conversation with the store manager from Publix, “It’s just one crab leg”

That’s the right way to look at it. Last year, Game 1 – the Vikings got shellacked by they 49’rs.

    Just one game.

See how their respective seasons ended.

Good perspective young man. Keep it up.

And concerning his antics in college…please pipe up if you never did anything stupid in college. He has matured, it’s time you did too.

Am interested to see how their passing attack fares against the Cardinals’ weakened secondary, which has a glaring need at CB2.

The question for the Bucs is not so much will they win. It’s whether they will revert back to ” the old Bucs ” who just give the game away with penalties, turnovers, dropped 3rd down passes etc etc etc.

That’s the kind of things RG3 says. But hey, when you steal food and walk out the front door with it, you are obviously a delusional person

Jameis is a real life buccanear. Rapes, pillages, then goes to the next village

Ok, So Jameis gets a lot of flack about the crabs legs. Who here has ever been told that they could take something for free when they were in a store. All of these people who troll him, could you imagine you were told you could take something for free and then all of the sudden the police came to your house and arrest you for it. Now it was $32 worth of crab legs, but I am pretty sure due to who he is…a $32 favor is not that big of a deal. Now should he had known better, probably, but let he who has no sin cast the first stone.

    Crab legs jokes. Still?

I swear I wish we could go and dig into some of you cats’ pasts and constantly bring up virtually nothing (which this was) as a preface to everything about you the rest of your lives.

    Grow up.

Anyone remember Brian Banks who was accused and convicted of rape, went to jail for 5 years, only to have the “victim” recant her story and say she lied. Dude got a chance to play, but unfortunately the game passed him by. One thing the NFL has done right is it gave him a job. Innocent people in the wrong place with the wrong people get accused. It could happen to any of us normal people. Now try being a star or a lottery winner and see how many people try to do it to you.
