Last year, Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy played in just one game, missing 15 with a hip injury. This year, Levy played in one game — and is now out again with an injury.
Levy is listed as doubtful, which means he almost certainly won’t play on Sunday against the Titans. Levy did not practice at all this week, although the Lions’ coaches previously said they were expecting to have him on the field on Sunday.
Although Levy didn’t show any signs of being hurt during last week’s win over the Colts, it was announced after the game that he had suffered a quadricep injury.
The Lions signed Levy to a four-year, $33.8 million contract last year. Eventually they may get some value back from that expense, but at the moment it has to be frustrating in Detroit that Levy can’t stay on the field.
