Before linebacker Manny Lawson was released by the Bills earlier this month, the team confirmed reports that Lawson could face a suspension because he was the subject of a league investigation.
Word on that suspension came down on Friday. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Lawson has been suspended for two games.
There’s no details on the reason for the suspension. At the time of the initial reports about the potential ban, a 2014 arrest for domestic violence and disorderly conduct came to light although Tim Graham of the Buffalo News reported that wasn’t the incident that led to the league’s inquiry.
Lawson is currently a free agent and will be eligible to play again in the fourth week of the regular season.
