Mario Williams practicing, expected to play Sunday

The Dolphins didn’t want to use defensive end Cameron Wake as a full-time replacement for Mario Williams against the Patriots this weekend and it doesn’t look like they’ll need to employ anyone in that role.

Williams is back on the practice field for the Dolphins on Friday. It’s his first time on the practice field since suffering a concussion against the Seahawks in Week One.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that Williams is expected to play after being cleared for on-field activities.

Wide receiver DeVante Parker is also expected to be in the lineup after sitting out last week with a hamstring injury. He participated in practice all this week. Center Mike Pouncey missed that game with a hip injury and he’s on track to miss this one as well.

The Dolphins will release an official injury report later on Friday.

Parker will at least catch an easy wide open pass even if he has to hobble to the end zone!!!

Should be a good game but I don’t think the Fins can win in Gillette this year.

Miami will play tough though, I don’t expect it to be an easy win.

Good news, please coach Gase, do not allow Kenny Stills to board the plane to NE!

Whatever Miami did last week seemed to catch Seattle off guard. For the Patriots, having even a week’s film on the new Gase offensive and defensive schemes, will be extremely helpful.

Too many dinged up players to expect any easy wins and that Miami front is impressive should be a good hard fought game.
