Buffalo Bills wide receiver Marquise Goodwin will have to go through concussion protocol this week after being injured on the final play on Thursday night’s 37-31 loss to the New York Jets.

Needing a touchdown and having to go 85 yards to get one, Tyrod Taylor threw short to Robert Woods, who lateraled to Goodwin with under 10 seconds to play. Goodwin tried to slice between David Harris and Marcus Williams. As he was thrown to the ground his head bounced off the turf.

Goodwin initially tried to get up before staying down on the turf as the final seconds ran off the clock.

Head coach Rex Ryan said after the game that Goodwin was in the concussion protocol due to the play.

Goodwin had two catches for 112 yards and a touchdown against the Jets. His 84-yard touchdown catch over Darrelle Revis served as one of the highlights of the first half for Buffalo.
