With safety Shiloh Keo only two days away from rejoining the team following a two-game suspension under the substance-abuse policy, the Broncos have decided to move on.

The Broncos terminated Keo’s contract on Saturday.

As noted by Mike Klis of 9News.com, the move means that the Broncos believe rookies Justin Simmons and Will Parks are capable of backing up starting safeties T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart.

Keo joined the Broncos in December after not playing in 2014 or most of 2015. He played in four regular-season games and two postseason games. Klis points out that Keo recovered an onside kick in the AFC title game against the Patriots.

The suspension arose from a DUI arrest. As of 2014, the standard punishment increased from a fine to a two-game suspension.

I was never a fan of this guy since he blew coverage against the Raiders costing us the game last year. Here’s hoping we never hire someone off Twitter again

The guy barely had a roster spot and had to realize that he had no room for error on or off the field. DUI is a conscious choice and he sure made the wrong choice. It was a good story while it lasted and he did contribute a lot in his short time in Denver.

Yep. That turned the tide for me too. He was just a stopgap and didn’t really hold his own. The Patriots started their comeback after Ward and Stewart went down and Keo and Bush were in. Bush is gone and I was surprised Keo was invited to camp. Maybe he picked up thd defense faster than someone else off the street due to his history with Wade but he was not a good fit. Thanks for filling in Keo. Have a good life. Enjoy your ring.

Cap cheats…. let it go man, it happened more than 15 years ago, AND the NFL released a memo stating that it didn’t result in any competitive advantage. Haters be evwrywhere.
