Brandon Marshall has MCL injury

ORCHARD PARK, NY - SEPTEMBER 15: Brandon Marshall #15 of the New York Jets is tackeld by Stephon Gilmore #24 of the Buffalo Bills resulting in putting Marshall out for the game during the first half at New Era Field on September 15, 2016 in Orchard Park, New York. After Jets receiver Brandon Marshall fell awkwardly on Thursday night while being tackled by his facemask, he appeared to be anything but fine. On Friday, coach Todd Bowles declared that Marshall is indeed “fine.”

But Marshall may not be entirely fine.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, and as noted during Sunday’s Football Night in America on NBC, Marshall emerged from the incident with an MCL injury. While the team believes Marshall will be ready to go next week, it’s not a lock that he’ll be ready to go when the team faces the Chiefs in Kansas City.

The MCL is a rope-like ligament that becomes frayed when injured. It typically heals in time.

Marshall finished Thursday night’s game after a brief absence. The question becomes whether the team decides to risk further injury by letting him play, or to shut him down for a week so that the ligament can heal.

We favor pumping electricity through face masks on the field — so when they are grabbed it leaves first degree burns on defenders hands.

Kind of a Mad Max move.

I snapped my MCL skiing. I didn’t need surgery but was hobbling for months–might be serious.

The Pats are 2-0 and Brady will be back in 2 weeks. The Jets have a small window, especially because my Bills have basically imploded this year, but I don’t know if I would describe the division as “wide open” until Belichick retires. Just the facts unfortunately.

Since now the Pat’s are a Suh like ankle stomp away on TB from having no QB. Although, I’d love to see Pat’s “next man up” put to the test with Edelman at QB. Talk about fun! A 5-6″ guy at QB in the NFL? Hey, Ethel – Where’s the popcorn?

Not sure what’s funnier, you banging on the wrong Brandon Marshall for ‘neeling’ [sic] or 10 other people giving it a thumbs up.
What is it with posters that have ‘fact’ or ‘truth’ in their user names so seldom being able to post either?

That is the issue with this world people just dont do research or do due diligence, they heard the name B.Marshall and automatically assumed this is the one. Education is always key along with some common sense of course.

MCL injuries typically dont take long to heal, the fact that he played considering how bad that tackle looked, is nothing short of amazing.
