A leaping touchdown catch in traffic by tight end Jesse James gave the Steelers the first points of the second half and a 17-6 lead over the Bengals.

The Steelers had struggled for most of the second half trying to sustain offense, and Ben Roethlisberger had been picked off twice.

Roethlisberger’s touchdown pass to James was from nine yards out and capped an impressive seven-play, 91-yard scoring drive.

The Steelers have been excellent defensively and the Bengals haven’t been able to keep drives going. The Bengals have converted just two of their first 12 third-down situations.

Well the refs seem to be closely watching at least 1 of the teams. My god- sorry but this is the nfl if 1 team gets 3 penalties called on a punt THAT’S on the refs not the team

The red headed step child is doing his thing and not getting it done in a big game.

Multiple holding calls missed that should have been a touchdown and the Steelers first td was basically Calvin Johnson and Dez catch I mean what is a catch and what isn’t. They still can’t get it right

Oh yeah and not to mention the false start on Pouncey that was called offsides they’re getting beat but the refs aren’t helping the cause

Missing a TD, the officiating crew beyond all of the holds is absolutely horrendous.

I would love to know how a knee down with possession of the ball is called a fumble even after bring reviewed? Oh, that’s right… because it helps the Steelers win.

Bring on the excuses Bengals fans, we are used to them by now.

We have excuses but at least they’re valid Steelers have the league in their pocket they can do no wrong

I’m starting to lose interest in the NFL. There is obvious ref bias towards certain teams, including the Packers and Steelers. Then there’s the political crap. I’m going to sit out the next few games.

Worst officiating I have every seen but Pitt outplayed us regardless of the horrendous officiating. Went both ways on on some bad calls but the non holding calls, fumble review was just mind boggling. Jay don’t know how this happens at this level. Bottom line we were outplayed today regardless of officials period

You have excuses but they are poor.

  13. ineptguy8 says: Sep 18, 2016 5:59 PM

The refs are always terrible. Multiple ridiculous PIs on one drive giving the Bengals 3 points. Missed holdings and twice AB got mugged, no call. Point is there are always terrible calls and this game was probably even or maybe in the Bengals favor. But fans of bad franchises like to make excuses.

Do I have to hear another year of excuses from Bungle fans? You lost and did nothing to win. Get over it.

  15. dyhard32 says: Sep 18, 2016 9:53 PM

you won on bad calls the bengals are a better team by far piss burg got 2 calls on them all night big fat butt ben got away again

  16. baddawg02 says: Sep 18, 2016 10:11 PM

Steelers are by far the best of these two. All you Bengal fans do is cry about something.try getting a running game going and you won’t have to cry about the poor refs missing calls on passes. Oh and by the way they won because they scored td’s instead of field goals.
