Jimmy Garoppolo stakes the Patriots to a 14-0 lead over Dolphins

As Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garappolo continues to keep the seat warm for Tom Brady, he’s at least shown an ability to get off to hot starts.

For the second week, Garoppolo led an efficient scoring drive, staking the Patriots to a 14-0 lead over the Dolphins.

He’s already thrown a pair of touchdown passes, hitting Julian Edelman and Martellus Bennett, as he continues to mask their lack of Brady and injured tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Garoppolo is 9-of-10 for 136 yards passing and those two scores so far, looking like a guy who could one day repl, . . . Oh, never mind.

Not surprised at all. The Patriots can start a high school QB and still win games. The system is just that awesome.

Adam Gase is a smart coach and will turn things around eventually but this is going to be another lost year. Last weeks performance was misleading. Seattle always starts a season super slow. The bottom line is that nothing changes in Miami until they ditch Tannehill. They have the ability to release him with few consequences this off-season.

if Bellichick doesn’t start him next year, Garopplolo’s gonna have a huge contract somewhere and the Pats aren ‘t going to have someone to step in for their 39 year old QB

time to face it Pats fans, it’s over for Brady if BB knows whats good for him

I warned of Goodell’s doomsday scenario. That’s where framegate puts Jimmy Garopollo on the big stage and he plays well enough to garner two first rounders in trade.

A rudderless ship and someone has pulled out the plug. Couldn’t be more disappointed.

21-0 now. So much for keeping it close I guess. When does next season start?

  9. mediasloppy says: Sep 18, 2016 1:46 PM

Wonder if Brady will be benched if Jimmy keeps playing like this.

The Miami Dolphins tend to give Brady occasional fits. Jimmy Garoppolo scoffs…

The new Steve Young or Drew Bledsoe. Hope Belichick gets three first rounders from the Redskins or Browns.

LoL…….Jimmy G wow……Those hoping for the Patriots to die off and go away….well……

Come on crybabies tell us how it’s just the “system”

On his 1st 2 Tds he looked off 3 rec and hit his 4th option

Tell us how that’s the “system”

Headsets working when the Pat’s have the ball , it’s a miracle.

Little troll trying to take a soft shot at Brady

  22. scorp16 says: Sep 18, 2016 1:56 PM

Dolphins focused more about their pre-game protest…..more than…you know the actual game. Congrats Miami. League leaders in protests…..league worst in actual football.

Kenny Stills should start a political career right now…Because he ain’t too good at football

  23. kissmytaintpatriotswinagain says: Sep 18, 2016 1:59 PM

All those explosions you here after the Patriots score a touchdown are not actually the minute men firing their muskets. Its all the Patriot haters heads exploding from overworked tear ducts.

  24. donbat67 says: Sep 18, 2016 2:07 PM

Dolphins recovered a fumble , oops, headsets just went out again .

  25. mullman76 says: Sep 18, 2016 2:07 PM

    @flash1287: It’s the system.

Call Matt Cassel, he’ll tell you the same thing.

    Carry on, chowd.

Well, you got the Hillary part right. I can understand you acting like a baby about losing to the guy because that’s what Seattle fans do. You hate him because he’s not your coach. by the way, if this Miami team almost beat you, you are really bad.

Then why didn’t they just keep Cassle? He is younger would be cheaper and wasn’t coming off major knee surgery.

Brady with the same offense 50 Tds almost 4700 yards passing
Cassle with the same offense 22 Tds 2300 yards passing, no playoffs

If it’s just the “system” then why doesn’t Houston run it?
The head coach ran it in NE and the QB from last year (Hoyer) played in NE

Oh and Cassle made the prow bowl with the chiefs

It’s ok little guy we get it. You jealous fans like to do what you can to try and discredit Brady

I’ll ask again. How did the “system” help him look off his first 2 reads and hit his 3rd option on his first 2 TDs?

By your logic Joe Montana was just a “system” QB
After all he played in the west coast “system”
Steve young came in and won a SB

  29. alcottclan235 says: Sep 18, 2016 3:17 PM

The Pats do have a system. It’s called the “Win football games” system. Anyone is more than welcome to try and copy it.

  30. mullman76 says: Sep 18, 2016 3:20 PM

    @flash1287: Little guy?

So, not only are you an arrogant chowd, you are also an internet tough guy.

Cassel sucks, that’s why you didn’t keep him.

The #3 will probably put up some numbers because of the SYSTEM.

Carry on kook, I’m going surfing.

  31. mullman76 says: Sep 18, 2016 3:29 PM

By the way, nobody is jealous of the patsies or their fans.

Patsy fans are just paranoid, arrogant and entitled.

Your act has worn thin and when the dynasty falls and the patsies are (and it will, you know this) you will have time to reflect on how you’ve become a braying donkey.

    Carry on chowd.

  32. mullman76 says: Sep 18, 2016 3:34 PM

    See, allcottclan knows.

    SYSTEM.

And no, nobody has been able to or will be close to replicating what the patsies have done.

But, that doesn’t give the fanbase free reign to be donkeys.

It all comes around and it will for the chowds as well.

You can tell your kids or grandkids about Tommy, William and the sleazy owner who runs around with pros and all the rings won.

    Something to look forward to…

I guess you don’t see the irony of lecturing Patriots fans on a story that has nothing to do with you or your team.

You are posting on this story because the Pats have beaten your team so often that they are in your head. You can’t help but post something derogatory whenever you see a Pats story. You even have cute names for us. Pats fans usually stick to posting on stories about our team, not trolling our competitors. You are the textbook definition of a sore loser with nothing to look forward to. Go away.
