Broncos linebacker and defensive captain DeMarcus Ware has an ulna fracture. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, he is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

That’s good news for the team and the players. Although Ware has become a situational pass rusher, Ware is a key component of the defense.

He has up to $3.5 million tied to sacks, and Ware has 2.0 in only two games. He’ll likely be back in a month in an effort to keep racking them up.

Denver has a short-week Thursday night game on October 13 against the Chargers in Week Six, followed by a Monday night game on October 24 against the Texans.

It’s a good chance for Shane Ray to prove his mettle. This will also show if this excellent defense is mostly the product of Wade’s system or the players themselves.

Although missed, the Broncos will be fine while Ware heals – just ask Luck.

shane ray is very very very average. your strength is miller, take him out and your defense does nothing.
still, you struggled most of the game until the last few minutes and that was with ware and miller in.
talib (who should be suspended but is getting donkey preferential treatment) was the game changer yesterday. that and the 3rd string team the Colts had to play with since they are somehow banged up so badly in week 2.
donks get all the breaks. it wont last. they are a one trick donkey.

Yes, youruncle…The NFL gives Denver preferential treatment, the refs routinely cheat for Denver…that’s why they win so much. They are also lucky (get all the breaks), and everyone they play has so many injuries that they can barely field a team. Wow…for a one trick donkey, Super Bowl Champs last year and 2-0 this year so far aint too bad. Our very, very, very average linebacker recovered a fumble and scored with it. How is YOUR team doing? How did they do last year? Got any more excuses why the BRONCOS are so good? Oh, that’s right. Everyone in the league offices, and all the refs cheat for Denver, and they are the luckiest team in the world. That about sum it up? Enjoy the rest of the season…we certainly will!
