Chicago Bears nose tackle Eddie Goldman was carted off the field early in the fourth quarter after getting caught at the bottom of a pile on a fourth down run by the Philadelphia Eagles.

With the Eagles near the Bears goal line and kicker Caleb Sturgis hobbled, Darren Sproles tried to score from the 2-yard line before being stopped a yard shy. Goldman was caught at the bottom of the pile and was tended to after the play before leaving on a cart.

Goldman was ruled out by the Bears for the remainder of the contest.

Goldman appeared in 15 games and started 12 for Chicago last year as a rookie. He’s one of their best defensive players and joins a long list of Bears played beat up on Monday night.
