Eagles dominating, Cutler leaves game with hand injury

Bears Cardinals AP

The Bears have forgotten that good things happened early in the game when they were getting the ball to Alshon Jeffery, and now they’re not moving the ball at all.

The Eagles are chewing up yards and clock and lead, 22-7, in the fourth quarter after a Ryan Matthews touchdown run and a short touchdown pass from Carson Wentz to Trey Burton.

An interception by Nigel Bradham set up the Burton touchdown. The Eagles have sacked Jay Cutler three times and earlier in the third quarter recovered a Cutler fumble.

Cutler was taken to the locker room after the Bradham interception with what the ESPN broadcast called a hand injury.

Brian Hoyer replaced Cutler late in the third quarter. Early in the fourth, the Bears announced that Cutler would not return due to his hand injury.

Nice prediction PFT…..I guess Carson Wentz dealt with the REAL Nfl…..hacks

Impressive that Cutler goes to the locker room after a game losing pick almost 6.

What a terrible, terrible football team

  10. jvw1982 says: Sep 19, 2016 11:02 PM

This could have been a good game if Hoyer started…Cutler is awful, how has he been able to keep his job for so long? I feel for you Bears fans, you will never go anywhere with this guy as QB……

  11. cowboysfan83 says: Sep 19, 2016 11:02 PM

Is it just me or does cutler always have an “injury” and can’t return to the game when it all goes south?

  12. chino1985 says: Sep 19, 2016 11:02 PM

Cutler is to QBs what Jeff Fisher is to HCs. Pretty much meaning how the hell does he still have a job?

  13. janvanflac says: Sep 19, 2016 11:02 PM

and PFT thought the Eagles were one of the worst teams in the NFL…

  14. u4iadman says: Sep 19, 2016 11:03 PM

You all knew this was going to happen. Really poor roster lacking serious talent. They are morons for sticking with Cutler.

Feel bad for fans. Owner and GM hosed this team.

  15. officialgame says: Sep 19, 2016 11:03 PM

Is it me or does Cutler look like a washed up, punch drunk skid row bum.

Welcome to the NFL, Carson Wentz

  17. balaspackfan says: Sep 19, 2016 11:09 PM

Pretty sure he hurt his hand applying Vagisil!

  18. iowahbr says: Sep 19, 2016 11:11 PM

Bears financial victory last night: Marshall, Forte, Bennett, and Gould off the payroll and last night’s house gate, beer & parking sales, and Bears share of NFL TV revenue greater than on field costs. Game score who cares, certainly not the McCaskey family. Get rid of Cutler and things will be even better as costs go down. Maybe we can get Trestman back?

  19. ballreaper says: Sep 19, 2016 11:12 PM

Nothing to really see here outside of when the going gets TOUGH you can always count on Jay Cutler to leave the game with a PHANTOM Injury.

  20. jrossizzle says: Sep 19, 2016 11:16 PM

    Ya Cleveland didn’t need Wentz…

  22. codythao35 says: Sep 19, 2016 11:22 PM

Wentz is the real deal, I’very said this to the Rams before the draft that they should draft this kid instead of Goff. Looks now that I was right and Goff may be a bust.

  26. helicopterpilot13 says: Sep 19, 2016 11:32 PM

Say whatever you like, but Jay Cutler is nothing but a loser.

  27. helicopterpilot13 says: Sep 19, 2016 11:33 PM

    codythao35,

You say Goff is a bust when the season is a whole two weeks old? You must be at least five years old.

  28. Juan says: Sep 19, 2016 11:33 PM

Has Gruden ever slobbered so much over a rookie in his entire career ? Wentz looked good, but after all it was against the lowly Bears.

  29. Youknowimright says: Sep 19, 2016 11:34 PM

Wentz threw for 190 yards vs terrible team. When does he go to canton.

So Cody do you think Wentz is the real deal?

  32. elmerbrownelmerbrown says: Sep 19, 2016 11:35 PM

If the iggles can play teams with no quarterback ,,offenses with only one weapon and no defense I think they could go 16 – 0 !

  33. rodgerstonelson says: Sep 19, 2016 11:37 PM

Is Culter.. Jeff George’s secret love child?

  34. bassplucker says: Sep 19, 2016 11:42 PM

No 2nd year bump for John Fox with this team. In fact despite the supposed talent upgrades they look worse than last year’s squad. It looked a lot like the Bears quit in the 2nd half and when that happens in your home opener, on MNF when you’ve gone 1-7 at home the prior season, that had better be a damn big cause for concern.

Even notwithstanding the ridiculous run of injuries it looks like Fox and his staff have already run out of buttons to push with this team and there are still 14 games to go.

  35. officialgame says: Sep 19, 2016 11:53 PM

“So Cody do you think Wentz is the real deal”?

Cody said it to the Rams so it must be true.

  36. famundacheese says: Sep 19, 2016 11:57 PM

Here comes the rest of the NFC east (which is a bad division) to say they only beat 2 bad teams, which is true, but could barely beat the horrible teams they played. If they could beat anyone at all, looking at at you washington.

  37. mrclaytonbigsby says: Sep 20, 2016 12:15 AM

How’s John Fox working out for ya? There is a reason Elway dumped that bum. Stacked roster and the bum got bounced in the playoffs twice and blown out in the Superbowl. Wasted 3 years of Mannings career.

  38. thegenghiskahn88 says: Sep 20, 2016 12:18 AM

    The Bears, still suck.

  39. phillyphanatic77 says: Sep 20, 2016 2:26 AM

Youknowimright, Wentz threw for 190 yards and TD with atleast 60 yards and two TDs in drops.

  40. iowahbr says: Sep 20, 2016 7:11 AM

Can Lovie come up from Champaign on Sundays to help Fox?

  41. getyourownname says: Sep 20, 2016 8:02 AM

I know it’s only two game, but Wentz looks very, very good. Big, strong throws, presence in pocket.

I would think any “personnel” guy who said his team couldn’t use Wentz should find another line of business soon.

  42. iowahbr says: Sep 20, 2016 10:51 AM

I’m sending Fox $125 after last night. He saved me $250 this year on refusing the Direct TV NFL ticket and it’s only fair to split it with him.

  43. famundacheese says: Sep 20, 2016 10:59 AM

Actually 82 yards and 2 tds in drops
