The Jets had a few days off after beating the Bills last Thursday night, but they got back to work on Monday.
Most of them, anyway. Wide receiver Brandon Marshall was not on the practice field with his teammates.
Marshall hurt his knee during the win over the Bills when he was dragged down awkwardly by the facemask at the end of a catch. Marshall returned to the game and the Jets said he was fine when it concluded, although Mike Florio reported Sunday that Marshall did hurt his MCL.
Florio also reported that the Jets expect Marshall will be able to play against the Chiefs in Week Three, so keeping him off the field early in the week may be designed to make sure he’s fresh in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon. The Jets won’t issue their first practice report of the week until Wednesday.
