Center Bryan Stork left the Patriots a couple of times late in the summer with his second departure sticking and leaving him a free agent as the 2016 season got underway.

Stork’s search for a new job is taking him to one of the Patriots’ divisional mates on Tuesday. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Stork will visit with the Jets.

Stork was traded to the Redskins in August, but returned to the Patriots when he failed his physical in Washington. He was then cut from the roster outright.

Stork started 17 games for New England over two years with the team, including their Super Bowl win over the Seahawks, before falling down the depth chart. He has a history of concussions and there were reports that he was considering retirement when he was traded, although he ultimately reported for that failed physical.

The Jets have Nick Mangold at center, but may be in the market for depth up front with left guard James Carpenter dealing with a calf strain suffered last Thursday and tackle Breno Giacomini on the PUP list.
