Braxton Miller ruled out for Thursday

The Texans have ruled out three players for Thursday night’s game against the Patriots.

None of the three come as a great surprise. Linebacker Brian Cushing sprained his MCL in the season opener and word at the time of the injury was that he’d miss a few weeks as a result of the injury. Left tackle Duane Brown hasn’t played in either of the first two games as he continues to make his way back from quad surgery.

Wide receiver Braxton Miller was a new addition to the injury report this week after leaving last week’s victory over the Chiefs with a hamstring injury. He didn’t practice at all and won’t play on Thursday night either.

Defensive end J.J. Watt and punter Shane Lechler were both limited in practice on Wednesday, but neither appears on the injury report so they’re expected to be in the lineup in New England.
