DeSean Jackson doesn’t practice, unclear if he’ll play Sunday

Plenty of people are paying attention to how the Redskins plan to cover Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham this Sunday, but there’s a storyline to watch involving one of their wide receivers as well.

DeSean Jackson didn’t practice on Wednesday because of knee and ankle injuries. Coach Jay Gruden said that Jackson got hurt sometime in the third quarter of last Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.

As you’d expect, Jackson’s status for this week’s game came up for discussion but an answer didn’t come. Gruden said during his press conference that he has no idea about whether Jackson will be able to play at this point in the week.

The team will practice twice more before setting injury designations for the game on Friday, but it would seem unlikely that Jackson will be on the field if he isn’t feeling well enough to work on Thursday or Friday. That would save the Giants from making any decision like the one the Redskins have to make about Josh Norman covering Beckham, although no one would likely be paying much mind to that call unless they went with Damon Harrison.

Looks like we’re going to have another high draft pick this year.

Yeah…you Redskins fans all talk about what a great guy he has been since the Eagles cut bait with him, but when the dude likes the looks of his bong better than a football, he comes up limping for a few weeks.

Or maybe he was the disgruntled anonymous player in the locker room who called out Kirk and the organization has decided they are better off with Kirk and are trying to trade him and don’t want him to get injured before they do.

    Stranger things have happened….

That was definitely Garcon. That “sources” stuff has been consistent since Griffin’s rookie year. The only one who’s been there all along is Garcon.

the answer is simple. its contract year. last time, desean took the season off, and when he did play, it was with the goal of not getting injured; rather than winning the game.

I’m an Eagles fan who still wishes Chip never cut DJax – despite his flaws. He gave us some of the most memorable plays in franchise history. But I’m sure his desire to get revenge by signing with an NFC East team looks like a bad decision right now….you couldn’t have signed with more dysfunctional franchise.

Desean has decided Cousins stinks, and he will have a pulled hamstring, tweaked ankle, or whatever else until he can sign with a winner.

DeSean already shutting it down for 2016. No surprise here.
