The Ravens may be getting some help for their defense this weekend.

Linebacker Elvis Dumervil was on the practice field Wednesday for the first time since the start of the regular season. Dumervil was on the physically unable to perform list for most of the summer after having foot surgery and only participated in one practice after coming off the list on August 22.

Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports that Dumervil took part in individual drills during the portion of practice open to the media.

Rookie left tackle Ronnie Stanley didn’t practice on Wednesday for an undisclosed reason. He said after the session that he plans to be in the lineup this weekend.

“For sure. It would take a lot for me to miss a game,” Stanley said.

The Ravens practice twice more this week before they’ll file their injury report for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
