The Vikings may need a new focal point for their offense, with uncertainty about running back Adrian Peterson’s knee.

The silver lining is they might have found one.

Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs was named NFC offensive player of the week, after his 182-yard outburst against the Packers Sunday night.

Diggs leads the league with 285 receiving yards on 16 receptions (a 17.8-yard average) this season. He’s the first Vikings player to start the season with back-to-back 100-yard games since Cris Carter in 1997.

And with brand new quarterback Sam Bradford still learning his way around their offense, having a guy performing at this level has been essential for the Vikings.
