Tyler Eifert probably isn’t going to play this week, but he’s taking another step toward his targeted return in Week Four.
According to Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com, the Bengals tight end said he is going to practice today on a limited basis, his first action with the team since his ankle surgery in May.
Eifert has been running routes on a side field in recent weeks, but he’s gradually increasing his workload.
He hasn’t practiced since injuring his ankle in the Pro Bowl, so it’s unlikely he’d go straight from limited work to a game.
