Patriots rolling, turn another fumble into a touchdown

New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett (7) dives into the end zone for a touchdown past Houston Texans linebacker Max Bullough (53) during the first half of an NFL football game Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, in Foxborough, Mass. (AP Photo/Charles Krupa)

The Texans have done very little right, and they’ve now lost two fumbles on kick returns following Patriots field goals.

The Patriots just keep driving, keep eating clock and have dominated nearly every aspect of the game. It’s 20-0, Patriots, with 5:41 left in the third quarter.

After Tyler Ervin fumbled a kickoff in the third quarter, the Texans were twice flagged for pass interference on the ensuing drive. Those calls resulted in a six-play, 21-yard scoring drive capped by a short LeGarrette Blount touchdown run. Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett hasn’t done much outside a 27-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and he hasn’t needed to.

The Texans haven’t had the ball for the first nine-plus minutes of the third quarter, which means they still haven’t crossed the 50-yard line.

Blount has now scored in all three games this season.

    Texans are trash.

JJ Watt is doing his typical big game disappearing act.

Why was Ervin holding a towel in his left hand instead of having 2 hands on the ball as he wove thru traffic? It’s very clear on the replay. WTF? The difference in this game is simple…it’s coaching.

Well, this game turned out about like I said on Sunday when it was reported Garopolo would miss the game. It doesn’t matter people. Belichick had a look at Osweiler last year and this was easy pickings for him.

Logan Ryan and Malcolm Butler had great games. So many people stepped up tonight.
