Brian Hoyer is set to make his first start as a Bear.

The Bears’ injury report for Sunday’s game lists Jay Cutler as doubtful, meaning Hoyer is a near-lock to be the starting quarterback against the Cowboys on Sunday night. Matt Barkley will back Hoyer up.

Also doubtful are defensive tackle Eddie Goldman and running back Ka’Deem Carey. Danny Trevathan has already been ruled out. Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery is listed as questionable with knee soreness.

Hoyer started nine games for the Texans last season. His last start was a disastrous four-interception game in a playoff loss to the Chiefs.
