Browns kicker injures knee in walkthrough, will be listed as questionable

Browns kicker Patrick Murray injured his knee during a Friday walkthrough practice and will be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game in Miami, Browns coach Hue Jackson told reporters Friday.

Jackson said he didn’t know if the Browns would have to add another kicker to the roster. They have until 4 p.m. Saturday to make such a move.

The weekly Browns’ injury list has grown at an almost unexplainable rate. Cornerback Joe Haden missed Friday’s practice with a groin injury, and the Browns are already without their top two quarterbacks and four other starters. Besides quarterbacks Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown, out for Sunday’s game are center Cameron Erving, safety Ibraheim Campbell, wide receiver Corey Coleman and defensive end Carl Nassib.

Murray is 1-of-2 on field goal tries this season, his first with the Browns. He kicked for the Buccaneers in 2014.

I am so glad I am not a Browns’ fan. Talk about snakebit. It makes the Ravens’ rash of injuries look good because it’s not even the first game of week 3.

Does anyone else think the Browns are just making this stuff up to tank the season for Watson? I do.

wow…just 3 weeks ago, brown fans were talking how RG3 was leading them to the playoffs…looking at their schedule, is there a game you would put some serious money on that they would win…think not…

It should be pretty obvious this is not just bad luck for this franchise. If anything could convince me to believe in curses etc, the browns would be the ones. As hardened browns fans such as myself do, we will continue to watch, support, expect the worst, hope got the best, and expect at some point it will change. The browns and their fans are the most dedicated and loyal on the entire league, by far. When they finally do turn it around , it will be that much sweeter. So keep the jokes coming amateur comedians, we’ve heard them all before, and it has no affect on us at this point! Go Browns!!!

Would anyone be surprised if it turns out to be season-ending?

Not hoping for it, but, it wouldn’t surprise me – the way the Browns are cursed.
