Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott had another big game today in San Francisco.
Elliott carried 23 times for 138 yards and a touchdown as the Cowboys beat the 49ers 24-17.
It was a game that saw the 49ers jump out to an early 14-0 lead and then fall apart, as the Cowboys’ offensive line began to dominate the 49ers’ front seven, while the Cowboys’ defense shut down the Chip Kelly offense.
The 49ers suffered some costly injuries, with linebacker Navorro Bowman and receiver Jeremy Kerley both heading to the locker room. It was not a pleasant day for a San Francisco team that hasn’t had many pleasant days. San Francisco is now 1-3.
And Dallas is now 3-1. When Tony Romo went down, few thought that was possible. But Dak Prescott has played well, Elliott has played even better, and the Cowboys have to love where they are, a quarter of the way through the season.
