NaVorro Bowman will have MRI Monday

49ers linebacker Navorro Bowman will undergo an MRI Monday to determine the extent of the injury he suffered in the second half of Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, PFT has learned.

Bowman was carted to the locker room after suffering a non-contact injury. He appeared to clutch at the back of his ankle as he went down to the turf.

Bowman missed the entire 2014 season after suffering a gruesome knee injury in the NFC Championship Game following the 2013 season. He’s one of the 49ers’ best and most important players, and if his injury is significant it will be a major blow to an already struggling team.

Bowman, 28, is a three-time All-Pro. He has started all four games this season.

I hate to see any team struggling like this. They need him back to compete and fans need him back for hope of a good game.

    Great player.

This is tragic if there is significant damage…by far their best player on either side of the ball.

Speculation that it could be a torn achilles.

I’m going to receive a lot of flak for this because Navarro is such a stand up guy but this is karma for him becoming a company man.

Over the offseason he was was always quoted with Baalke saying how he liked that his playong scheme left the defense on the field longer.

Well here you go stud …… career over. Jed doesn’t care about you, the team or anyone on it. Just how much money he can squeeze out of you.

Worst part of all this for us niners fans is…
jed is only in his 30s…fml

One of the very very few likable high profile guys left on this dreadful organization. Was a 49er fan for 35 years but this is the easiest team to hate I’ve ever seen. And to suggest Kaepernick’s divisive politics have not affected this locker room in any way is beyond absurd. This team is not only bad personnel wise, they are unfocused, undisciplined and uninspired. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of jerks.

Looked like his Achilles, as he tried to push off and just fell over. Tough break.

Injury to insult. Brutal being a niners fan.

non contact??? 99.9% of the time that’s a torn achilles. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. He’s a true stud!

Again with Niner fans vocalizing how they aren’t fans anymore. I would never wish I’ll will towards an opposing player but I will towards the fans. This is the worst fan base in football and they deserve their crappy team with a crappy QB and an even crappier back up QB. Not to mention the crappy owner and crappy GM. So crappy.

This is not indicative of most fans, and every fan base has people like this, good riddance, I’m a Faithful niner fan since 1987 and not going anywhere, We have an 80+ member fan club in Colorado springs that gathers weekly most of whom have been fans their whole lives. Unlike the Seahawks who mostly didn’t have fans pre 2012.

Anyways, best wishes to Bow, one of the best in the league, and a stand up dude.
