The Eagles got back to work on Monday after a bye week and they welcomed back a member of their offense.

Tight end Zach Ertz said that he had an MRI on Monday morning to assess how his displaced rib was healing and that doctors have given him clearance to make a full return to football activities. As a result, Ertz says that he will be on the field when the Eagles take on the Lions in Detroit in Week Five.

Ertz’s displaced rib was under his collarbone, which left his return up to getting medical clearance as opposed to being able to tolerate any pain resulting from the injury.

Ertz caught six passes for 58 yards in the opener before getting hurt and missing the next two games. His return should help an offense that’s performed well in the first three weeks continue to perform well in Detroit and beyond.

Cornerback Leodis McKelvin was also participating in practice after missing two games with a hamstring injury. He also expects to play against the Lions.
