Donte Whitner hasn’t found work yet, but it’s not for a lack of trying.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the veteran safety is working out for Washington.

His most recent trip was to see the Giants, who were running low in the secondary but didn’t make a move prior to last night’s game. They’re apparently still considering what to do there.

Whitner also worked out for the Panthers just before the start of the regular season, and they also didn’t sign him. The Rams had some interest this offseason but they didn’t sign him either.

The Browns cut the former Pro Bowl safety in April, and the fact he hasn’t signed could point to the fact he’s looking for something beyond the veteran minimum and no one seems inclined to pay it.
