Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert might have had a setback, but it’s not with the ankle injury that has kept him out all season.

According to Geoff Hobson of the team’s official website, Eifert was listed as missing today’s practice because of ankle and back injuries.

The addition of a back problem is potentially troubling news for the Bengals, who have missed their red zone threat this season.

According to Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com, the injury isn’t considered serious, but it’s enough that he won’t play this week.

Eifert had ankle surgery in May, but the team held off leaving him on the physically unable to perform list for the regular season, which would have saved a roster spot but kept him on the sidelines for at least the first six weeks.

Andy Dalton may finish with less than 20 TDs if Eifert is out, he doesnt have really hav a red zone target besides Green.

Not having to cover Eifert lets Jones breathe a sigh of relief.

Guy has been hurt almost the entire time he’s been a Bengal…doesn’t matter how talented you might be if you can’t stay on the field.
