Report: Latavius Murray likely to miss Sunday’s game

Raiders running back Latavius Murray missed practice Wednesday, and he could end up missing Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday night that Murray’s foot injury “makes it doubtful for now that he will be able to” play.

Murray has three rushing touchdowns this season and leads the Raiders in carries (40) and yards (172). If he can’t play, rookie DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard will get more than usual share of their work. Fullback Jamize Olawale could also get some touches.

The Raiders might have already been putting together a pass-heavy gameplan. Chargers Pro Bowl cornerback Jason Verrett has a partially torn ACL and is out for the rest of the season, and the loss of Verrett is a significant one for an already struggling Chargers defense.

I think this is a good thing. Murray is the king of two yards up the middle. his upright running style isn’t working. he might have the physique of Adrian peterson but he plays like trent Richardson.

Great News for the O-line… Now they won’t be slammed from behind by LM because he can’t seem to see a hole even if GPS directed him to it.
The Mighty Mites young RBs will take this game over.

Hello DeAndre…this is a no brainer…Del Rio hates Murray, and was pulling him off the field more and more in recent weeks…14-8-10-8, that’s the workload of a starting Running Back who is about to be benched…Washington, as reported by Shefter and Rappoport, even last week, was the favorite to get a bigger workload….
Murray did the Raiders a favor by bowing out now, he will NOT be getting his starting job back, it’s a slam dunk now…DeAndre Washington is the Man in Oakland carrying to lunch pale…

    Well this sucks!

But when we beat the Chargers by 30 on Sunday it will be alright.

I love Washington and Richard but they’re too small to carry the load and Olawale has no speed.

Murray is the horse of the lot.

4.3 average and three scores for Murray.
0.0 average and zero scores for Richardson.

Murray can be frustrating to watch. He runs high, and his vision isn’t very good. But Washington and Richard have one score and a fumble combined. Murray might be missed this Sunday.

As long as the Spanos’ own the Chargers they will continue to be “cloaked in failure” …. from a life long Chargers fan.

The Raiders are down a RB? The Chargers are missing half their roster, so there’s that.
