Texans place Devon Still on injured reserve

A week ago, the Texans placed defensive end J.J. Watt on injured reserve. Now, another defensive end has been shelved, at least for eight weeks.

The Texans have announced that Devon Still has landed on IR. He has been replaced on the roster by Brandon Dunn, a defensive end elevated from the practice squad.

One player per year may return from injured reserve, following eight weeks. Watt reportedly won’t be back this year at all, due to his latest back injury.

Still played on Sunday against the Texans, due to Watt’s injury. Still had appeared in every game this season.

He’s a class act whose family has been through a lot. I hope he makes a healthy, successful return, this year or next.
