49ers, Cardinals trading punts, incompletions

Thursday night’s Cardinals-49ers game is off to an ugly start.

The teams have traded punts throughout the first quarter. Quarterbacks Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert are a combined 3-of-12 passing through the first 13 minutes.

Both running backs, David Johnson of the Cardinals and Carlos Hyde of the 49ers, have had some success, but both teams are playing solid defense and both quarterbacks have been bad.

Johnson has 58 yards on nine carries but all three Cardinals possessions have ended in punts.

Been saying it for three weeks now, the nfl is garbage. Somebody will win the super bowl but it will surely be no great accomplishment

This feels like a preseason game

Someone in the Jags organization had to be on drugs when they took Gabbert in the first round

Lmao that stadium is empty. I was listening on the radio on the way home and the announcers were practically begging people to come to the game. Such a pathetic fanbase the “faithful” has become only after being around like 2 1/2 seasons. Guess with the Giants making the postseason the bay is pretending to be a baseball town again

I am watching this on Twitter with a dual monitor setup. On the other monitor I have some actual work loaded up. At first I thought I was joking myself, thinking I would get anything accomplished with a live football game distracting me. Quite the opposite. This game is miserable!

I can’t wait to hear the NFL talk about how unconcerned they are about the ratings after yet another nationally televised stinker like this one is.

This may be the first ever 0-0 tie in NFL history. In one corner, you have a backup who isn’t very good. In the other corner, you have a starter who isn’t very good (he’s so bad he was cut by the Jags) and a backup who’s even worse.

This has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen past 5 years. Clara in black, nobody in the stands, and Zona giving up on their season 4 games in.

    Stanton IS TERRIBLE

Stanton is bad enough he should get an honorary spot on the Browns’ QB jersey.
