The Cardinals got a takeaway on the opening kickoff of the second half, then after settling for a field goal the Cardinals got to take that field goal off the board and take a fresh set of downs thanks to a running into the kicker penalty on 49ers safety Rashard Robinson.
On the next play, David Johnson jogged in from 4 yards out to make it 14-7.
Cardinals tight end Ifeanyi Momah got the forced fumble and the recovery on the first kickoff of the second half after taking the ball away from Chris Davis of the 49ers.
The 49ers drove 87 yards in 10 plays to score first, getting a 9-yard touchdown pass from Blaine Gabbert to Jeremy Kerley with 4:12 left in the half.
The Cardinals punted on the ensuing possession, but Calais Campbell intercepted a Gabbert screen pass and Stanton found a wide-open Fitzgerald for a 21-yard touchdown on the next play.
