Nkemdiche inactive, even with two other defensive tackles injured

GLENDALE, AZ - SEPTEMBER 01: Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche #90 of the Arizona Cardinals sits on the bench during the preseaon NFL game against the Denver Broncos at the University of Phoenix Stadium on September 1, 2016 in Glendale, Arizona. The 49ers and Cardinals already knew they’d be without some key players for Thursday’s game, and there were no surprises as the teams submitted their inactive lists.

As expected, Drew Stanton starts at quarterback for the Cardinals with Carson Palmer out — and not on the trip — due to a concusison.

Cardinals first-round pick Robert Nkemdiche is inactive, which is noteworthy given that the Cardinals have two defensive tackles, Ed Stinson and Josh Mauro, out due to injury. Cardinals Coach Bruce Arians said this week he wasn’t sure Nkemdiche was ready to take on the defensive responsibilities involved with playing the 49ers.

For the 49ers, Garrett Celek starts at tight end in place of the injured Vance McDonald, Rashard Robinson starts at safety for the injured Jimmie Ward and Nick Bellore starts at linebacker in place of Navorro Bowman, who was placed on injured reserve Thursday to make room for Aaron Lynch, who’s coming off of suspension.

Bust. But Keim is a genius. Much better GM than John Schneider.

The QBs they’ve been trotting out for Thursday Night Football have been awful.

Hope I’m wrong, but looking more and more like a wasted pick. Win some, lose some, I guess

Not ready to handle the defensive responsabilities against the Niners??? If you can’t handle the niners what chance do you have against a real NFL offense. Not looking good for this 1st rounder.

In other news, Jarran Reed, John Schneider’s first draft pick is a starter at DT for the Seattle Seahawks.

But he was such an amazing athletic freak and was going to make such a huge difference! Too bad heart and brains come into play.

    Can someone specify what

“wasn’t sure Nkemdiche was ready to take on the defensive responsibilities involved with playing the 49ers.”

    even means?

Seems pretty vague and general to me about the why….and then specific at the same time regarding the who(with playing the 49ers). Head scratcher.

The Niners offense is setting football back 100 years…

Great talent, but he has to stop partying in Scottsdale club scene on Sunday nights, etc.

Also fwiw, the Cards DL is stacked. But I’m pretty sure it’s the partying.

In other words, he’s getting bottled up…. and not by offensive linemen.

BA takes his time with the rookies. Nicknamed DJ Humphries, last year’s first rounder “knee deep” and didn’t activate him all year. Now he’s starting at RT and doing great.

The whole teams is just miserable!!

Remember AZ fan’s saying he was the steal of the draft, the next Richard Seymour. There’s a reason he slid, he’s a nutcase. Danielle Hunter a 3rd round pick of the Vikings is the true definition of a Defensive Lineman.

Heres a fact thats not talked about much because they have been winning. STEVE KEIM HAS NOT DRAFTED THAT WELL. I’ll start with the good. He found a gem in David Johnson in the 3rd round, although the guy they had targeted got picked a few picks earlier and they “settled” for David Johnson.

First rounders: Drafted Buchanan in the first round at safety who couldn’t beat out any of their other safeties due to his lack of intelligence and inability to play the pass. So BA turned him into a 210 WLB. He Drafted DJ Humphries in the first round and he was inactive EVERY SINGLE GAME as a rookie. He Drafted Nkemdiche who is a 4-3DT…but the Cards play a 3-4 Hybrid scheme and he can’t even get on the field. Michael Floyd can’t catch a cold and has been demoted for a guy who was an undrafted free agent. Honey Badger is a GREAT football player without a true position. Again, BA uses him everywhere. He’s too slow to play corner and to small to play safety. Credit to BA

BA has covered many of Keims mistakes with his coaching but here are some facts. Among GMs at the helm in 12-13, here are the facts of GMs with rookies on the All Rookie Team. Dave Caldwell-Jacksonville (0 for 17). Doug Whaley-Buffalo (1 for 15). John Dorsey-KC (1 for 14). Steve Keim-Arizona (2 for 16). The bottom 4 in the NFL..#AbsoluteTruth
