The Colts decided they no longer wanted linebacker Sio Moore around earlier this week and released him after he started the first four games of the season for Indianapolis.

The Chiefs are hoping Moore can do a better job in Kansas City. The team announced on Friday that they have signed Moore and released linebacker Dezman Moses.

Moore had 30 tackles for the Colts this year before being released as the team shook up their defense in hopes of getting better results. He also played 12 games for the Colts last year after being acquired in a trade with the Raiders. Oakland drafted Moore in the third round of the 2013 draft and he had 140 tackles, 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 26 games for his new team’s divisional rival.

Moore will wait at least a week before making his debut with his new team as the Chiefs are on a bye this week. Moses had two tackles in three appearances this season.
