Ronnie Stanley again listed as doubtful

Ravens rookie left tackle Ronnie Stanley missed practice again Friday and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Redskins.

Stanley has been held out since suffering a foot injury two weeks ago vs. the Jaguars. Stanley said earlier this week he was “gradually improving” and that he thought there was a chance he’d be able to play Sunday.

James Hurst started in his place last week, but the Ravens reportedly plan to start Alex Lewis at left tackle this week.

The Ravens are also listing running back Kenneth Dixon (knee), cornerback Sheldon Price (thigh) and return specialist Devin Hester (thigh) as questionable. Hester was a limited participant Friday after missing the previous two practices. The projected debut of Dixon was a factor in the Ravens releasing veteran running back Justin Forsett earlier this week.

Is it just me or has the number of 1st round picks missing time their rookie season spiked dramatically the last 2 or 3 years? It seems hardly any team is getting their money’s worth out of their top picks their 1st season in the league anymore.

It makes me think that either these kids are not coming out of college as well conditioned as they used to be, or they’re spending too much of their first preseason on social media building their brand and not enough getting into NFL shape.

Please, no more Hurst. My stomach can’t take another week of him letting Flacco get murdered over and over again.

Don’t worry, Alex Lewis will take his place, not Mr. Lookout Block.
