Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor was fined $9,115 for using the ball as a prop while celebrating a touchdown last week at Washington, PFT has learned.

Pryor went with the LeBron James faux-chalk toss celebration after his first career receiving touchdown. He was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Pryor said Thursday he would appeal if he was fined.

Did someone embezzle funds from the fund that all of these fines go into, so now they have to make up the difference?

The chalk toss should be given credit to Michael Jordan.

I understand completely when players are fined for dangerous fouls – unnecessary roughness and the like – if you’re trying to make the game more safe. But why fines for plays like this? Isn’t the punishment of a penalty and yardage enough? Does the NFLPA association have any say in this? Admit I didn’t actually see it; am getting most of my NFL news on Monday, rather than spend time watching games on Sunday …

And the NFL wonders why viewership is down…they suck every ounce of fun out of the game.

Study “Why don’t you watch the NFL anymore”

People that don’t watch the NFL, “These idiots celebrate too much.”

So the NFL prohibits any fun. Now, viewership is dropping and the NFL is perplexed.

Business rule number 1, cater to your customers. They are where you make your money, not “potential” customers that already know you exist and don’t care.

If this was so terrible…Why doesn’t LeBron get a flag thrown on him for celebrating in every game ?
