Arthur Jones activated by Colts, but may not play

Colts defensive tackle Arthur Jones is back on the 53-man roster today, but it remains to be seen whether he’ll be on the 46-man roster tomorrow.

The Colts activated Jones off the commissioner’s exempt list following his four-game suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

However, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said on Friday that it would be tough to play Jones Sunday against the Bears when he’s only had a week of practice. It’s unclear whether activating Jones today indicates that Pagano thinks Jones will be good to go tomorrow.

Jones has had a disappointing tenure with the Colts since signing with them as a free agent in 2014. He missed all of last year with an ankle injury.

Colts’ rookie 3rd round draft pick Hassan Ridgeway is playing like an absolute monster. Nobody can block him. I imagine he’s the future at DT for the Colts, and Kerr will back him up. Jones is an expensive 3rd stringer, so he’ll probably be waived pretty soon.

Yeah, Grigson is absolutely right, it is TOTALLY Andrew Luck’s fault that Indy can’t field a legit defense. Has nothing to do with Grigs throwing big $$$$ at bums like Jones in Free Agency and drafting guys like Werner.
