The Browns are officially on their fourth quarterback of the season.

The team announced that rookie quarterback Cody Kessler is out for the rest of Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots with rib and chest injuries.

Kessler was injured when he took a big hit from Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower in the first quarter. The play resulted in a sack for a safety.

The Patriots lead, 30-7. Tom Brady threw a touchdown pass on each of the Patriots’ first three drives.

Kessler was first examined on the sideline, then taken to the locker room. Both Terrelle Pryor and Charlie Whitehurst have taken snaps since.

Kessler was making his third start of the season. Robert Griffin III was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury suffered in Week 1, then Josh McCown suffered a broken collarbone in Week 2.

Sorry man. Nothing personal, the Browns never should have put you out there. You should send your medical bills straight to Goodell.

Overheard during a timeout with the defense on the Browns sideline…

    “Alright guys…who’s got Bennett?”

    “Anyone?”

The Browns have angered the Jamaican Voodoo Posse and this is the result.

A curse would indicate that they aren’t in control of things.

Except they controlled getting rid of their All-Pro center and quality right tackle and then rolling with injury prone QB’s.

    That’s not a curse, it’s ineptitude.

Brought to you by the ‘smartest guys in the room’.

New Browns front office, WORSE then the last one.

    Poor Browns fans

Sad to hear about it happening. I hope he is able and allowed to recover completely. It would be terrible to have his career end before it really begins.

Awful ownership and bad coaching are not a curse though they might seem to be from the fan perspective.

Hopefully the injuries are not serious and he makes a fast and full recovery.

An already weak offensive line lost two of their best lineman this off-season, plus the o-line is battling injuries. I wouldn’t play QB for them right now for anything!
