Broncos first-rounder Paxton Lynch stepped in last week and played pretty efficiently.
But he walked into that game against the Buccaneers with a lead, and without one today, hasn’t looked as sharp.
Lynch has been a little inaccurate and inconsistent in the first half, as the rookie quarterback’s team trails the Falcons 13-3 at the half.
Lynch is 3-of-8 for 45 yards passing, and fumbled once (he recovered his own), as the Broncos have sagged against a Falcons defense which is playing beyond expectations, holding the Broncos to 76 yards in the first half.
Falcons linebacker Vic Beasley has two sacks already, and they’re doing a good job of confusing the rookie, who is starting for an injured Trevor Siemian.
