The rout is on in Minnesota

Getty Images

The Texans had a hard time two weeks ago against the Patriots. They’re having an even harder time against the Vikings.

Minnesota leads 24-0 in the second quarter, after a 79-yard punt return from Marcus Sherels.

The score came only three snaps after Vikings safety Harrison Smith dropped an interception in the flat, that he easily would have returned for a touchdown.

The Texans have been unable to get anything going offensively, just like that Thursday night in Foxboro.

  1. Osweiler doesn’t look like the guy. There’s blood in the water and the feeding frenzy is on.

  2. Everybody is drooling over Toms Knob as he lights up the browns(The Browns, people), yet ignore possibly the best team in the NFL, and by far the best in the NFC. Go Vikes.

  3. Like I said when they signed Osweiler, who was statistically Brian Hoyer down the stretch last year, without the coaches meeting him, who was going to take the fall for that at the end of the year, the guy who didn’t meet him and probably didn’t want him or the GM who apparently has farm animal pictures of the owner who also wanted him? Yeah, might want to get the resume together Bill O’Brien.

The Texans are a matchup nightmare for the Queens. Houston will win big.

At least the refs are trying to give Houston a chance with the weakest pass interference call in NFL history.

They made up for it by ignoring the 4th down end zone jersey grab & tug.

Too true. 2 point greater differential at the half and against a team that isn’t the Browns.

  7. Lesson to the Texans. Don’t pay a kid $72M who has only 7 starts, mediocre stats, was carried by his defense based on a phone call with the owner!! Like maybe the HC would have like to have met him in person??

Man, are these the Packers refs? Terrible offsides call on 4th down. So predictable.

It does my heart untold good to know that you can’t even enjoy the best start the Vikings have had in a very long time because the Packers own every inch of you and always will.

The little purple doggy sits on the porch, yip-yapping at the big dog walking by. Yip-yap, little doggy! Yip-yap!

Every inch of you. And always will.

  9. Packers were 1-0 when we played them.
    Tennessee was 0-0.
    Carolina was 1-1.
    Giants 2-1.
    Houston 3-1.

All winning teams or .500 at the time. We’ve had decent opponents, and still drubbed them.

    Life in Purple is good.

Schedule just gets easier. Philly is the only tough game left.

  10. No Bridgewater, No Peterson, No Kalil, No Diggs, No Smith–No Problem. My team totally ROCKS!

  11. Even when the Vikings have their best start in recent memory, that one fan is still crying about the Packers and the refs. You are seriously embarrassing yourself.

  12. Cabbage

The little puppy that you keep talking about calls himself a coyote.

Both of you know that the balance of power has shifted in the NFC North.

    And it scares you… 😀

When a grown man has to resort to grade school name-calling, usually, 9 times out of 10, that person has some immense insecurities deep inside their heart of hearts. hehe

Feels soo good good to see insecurities in cheese heads :()

I’m thinking of getting a Marcus Sherels jersey. That guy is pound for pound a stud and on top of that a great person.

He’s from my home town and were proud of him. GO Rochester John Marshall!!!

And the little Packer puppies are hiding under the porch as the green and gold runs down their fuzzy little legs.

  17. so are we done with talking about the Houston Texans being any good? Every year….”they have tough defense”….garbage…their coach is a a complete chucklehead, one can see this by just watching the guy on the sidelines. I expected the Vikes to win this game, but for Houston to not even show up? Pathetic.

  18. I’m really starting to enjoy cabbage and coyote coming on and commenting on every Vikings win. I get a good chuckle when I picture them typing angrily with tears in their eyes and the lower lip poking out.

  19. Can we quit with this notion that this loss falls on the shoulders of Osweiler? The defense gave up 24 points and special teams gave up 7. They were out matched in every phase of the game. As much as I wanted the Texans to win, this is simply what happens when they play a great team. We are a good team that’s capable of beating other good or worse teams but get crushed by great complete teams. Like them or not (I like them ) but the Vikings this year are a great team. Congrats on the win.

The Vikings didn’t beat the Texans, the Texans beat themselves.

Hey cabbage, remember a couple January’s ago, when you had a 13 pt lead with 4 min to go, in the NFC championship game?

And you BLEW it?? At least that one was so bad it helped you forget about the 4th and 26 in Philly….that was another choke…

But go to bed tonight knowing your team owns the all time choke record, ever…..choke choke choke….

    Bwahahahahaha!

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Coming from a guy whose team was leading by 16 points at the half, by 12 points with 10 to go in the game, leading by 5 with 2 minutes to go (and about to get the ball back to run out the clock) in the NFC Championship Game a few years ago…

Do you need me to remind how your squad was celebrating their “win” prematurely by going over what happened in the last two minutes and overtime?

  29. This is fun.

I hate to get too excited, because I’ve been let down by the Vikings too many times before.

I foresee 2 losses over the next 11 regular season games….if that.

    14-2.

  30. To this Day I remember USDCoyote crying on his keyboard after the Pack choke to the S-hawks.

He’s such a rube he was literally asking people to feel sorry for him (them?).

To quote the noted buffoon authority Bugs Bunny: “What a maroon”!
