Titans overwhelm Tannehill, Dolphins

iMWZ4FkDtWv6
The Tennessee Titans are getting better on the fly as they look to make a surprise run in the AFC South.

Titans running back DeMarco Murray had another big game, and Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota had his best game of the season.

Add that to a pass rush that overwhelmed a makeshift Dolphins offensive line and Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and the Titans cruised to a 30-17 victory. The Titans almost doubled up the Dolphins in total yardage, 398-200.

The Titans sacked Tannehill six times and picked him off twice.

Murray ran for 121 yards. Mariota threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers and also ran for a 5-yard score. The game was tied, 14-14, at halftime, but the Titans kept the ball out of the Dolphins’ hands in the second half and kept hitting Tannehill when the Dolphins had it.

The Dolphins managed just eight first downs and ran 41 total plays.

The Titans move to 2-3 and host the Browns next week. The Dolphins fall to 1-4 and have lost seven of their last nine games dating back to last season.
