Broncos coach Gary Kubiak remains hospitalized after becoming ill following Sunday’s game against the Falcons. According to Mike Klis of 9news.com, however, the team has gotten good news regarding Kubiak’s condition.

The decision to take Kubiak to a hospital arose in large part from the mini-stroke he suffered in 2013. The primary goal was to ensure he wasn’t having another similar incident.

It’s unclear when Kubiak will be able to rejoin the team. It’s not a normal week; the Broncos play the Chargers on Thursday night.

That could require someone like defensive coordinator Wade Phillips to take over, at least for now.
