Fisher says Trumaine Johnson week-to-week

Rams Coach Jeff Fisher told reporters Tuesday that cornerback Trumaine Johnson will be “week-to-week” with the ankle injury he suffered in last week’s loss to the Bills.

Fisher offered no further update.

Johnson was carted off with what’s believed to be a high ankle sprain Sunday. The week-to-week timetable Fisher offered would indicate he’ll miss at least this week’s game vs. the Lions. The Rams claimed veteran cornerback Dwayne Gratz via waivers on Tuesday.

Johnson is playing on the franchise tag after recording a career-high seven interceptions last season. He’s started all five games and has one interception this season.
