Haloti Ngata to miss a few weeks with shoulder injury

The Lions will have a big hole in the middle of their defense this week.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata is expected to miss the next two or three weeks, after leaving last week’s game with a shoulder injury. He’s still undergoing tests on the shoulder now, but won’t play this week against the Rams.

The 32-year-old Ngata isn’t the same player he was in Baltimore, but he’s been solid for the Lions.

And though they rank 21st in the league in run defense, they’re the only team in the league that hasn’t given up a rushing touchdown yet. That’s something Todd Gurley and the Rams would like to change this week, and not having Ngata in the middle ought to make it easier.

As a Steeler fan, I’m giddy that I never have to see this guy 2 times a year….

Geez, the Lions defensive players are getting injured almost as much as my team’s offensive players.

Too bad we don’t have your coach. Or a NFL level coach at that.

Thanksgiving is gonna be fun. For the Vikings!

As a Rams fan who’s team plays the Lions this week I should be giddy about this but in all honesty it doesn’t matter. Our O-line can’t block and Gurley either runs into his own lineman or can’t find the few holes that do open up. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the Rams lose this game…after all they’ve proven time and time again they can’t win outside of their own division.

What happened to the Rams O-line…they used to open holes….

Maybe we need a new Line Coach….Or a few cans of man for our O-Line….

All that Hard Knocks Drama maybe they should stop showing they’re arms and Tanks and start showing how to block!
