It’s been a long time since Washington had a punt return touchdown.

But for the second time in three weeks, the NFC special teams player of the week works there.

Washington punt returner Jamison Crowder won this week’s award, after last week’s 85-yard score against the Ravens.

The last Washington player to return a punt for a score was Santana Moss in 2008.

Crowder is averaging 27.7 yards per punt return this season, a significant improvement over the 5.3-yard average from his rookie year.

Kicker Dustin Hopkins won the award in Week Three.

He really is an overlooked guy NFL-wide. He’s phenomenal in the slot, and he is now adding an element in the return game. He reminds me a lot of a young Santana Moss.

The skins are overlooked and that is just fine with me. Yep has been along time being in the cellar but Scot is slowly but surely putting a good squad together. Welcome to the NFC East Carson Wentz. Chalk up another L for the iggles

He will be D Jax’s replacement in a year or two.

Great return by the Redskins WR versus the Baltimore team last week. Hopefully the Redskins get him more plays at WR this week against the Philadelphia team.

Yes, we Redskins fans like him a lot. And yes, he is great in the slot. Our cup runneth over with receivers if only we can get our DL in shape.
