It’s been a long time since Washington had a punt return touchdown.
But for the second time in three weeks, the NFC special teams player of the week works there.
Washington punt returner Jamison Crowder won this week’s award, after last week’s 85-yard score against the Ravens.
The last Washington player to return a punt for a score was Santana Moss in 2008.
Crowder is averaging 27.7 yards per punt return this season, a significant improvement over the 5.3-yard average from his rookie year.
Kicker Dustin Hopkins won the award in Week Three.
