Word after Sunday’s game was that wide receiver Steve Smith wasn’t expected to miss any game time for the Ravens as a result of the sprained ankle he suffered against the Redskins last Sunday.

He is missing some practice time as a result of the injury, however. According to multiple reports from Ravens practice, Smith is not on the field with his teammates as they kick off their on-field preparations for this weekend’s road game against the Giants.

Smith has plenty of company on the sideline Wednesday. Three of the team’s starting offensive linemen are also sitting out. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley has missed the last two games with a foot injury and right tackle Rick Wagner left with a thigh injury last Sunday. Right guard Marshal Yanda, who kicked outside to replace Wagner, also isn’t practicing, although he’s taken rest days in previous weeks without missing time on Sundays.

Linebackers C.J. Mosley, Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil are not participating in practice. Mosley hurt his hamstring while the two veterans have had their workloads managed early this season.
