There was some bad injury news for the Redskins on Wednesday when coach Jay Gruden revealed that tight end Jordan Reed was being evaluated for a concussion after reporting symptoms on Tuesday.

Losing Reed would be a major blow to the offense in a big NFC East clash with the Eagles and it would leave more lifting for the defense to do on Sunday. In better injury news for the team, it looks like they’ll be getting some help back on that side of the ball.

Cornerback Bashaud Breeland has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, but said Wednesday that he’s “confident” he’ll be ready to play this weekend after getting in a limited practice. Breeland also said he’s confident a season that started with Antonio Brown putting up a big night against him will feature better things once he’s back in the lineup.

“They shouldn’t have to keep telling me I played bad even though my team [is] winning,” Breeland said, via the Washington Post. “It’s a new start. It’s a fresh week. You don’t have to keep relaying that to me. I know that. Those plays lost us the game, and I know that. I don’t fault them for what they’re saying. But them knowing me, and if you’re a real Redskins fan and you know me, then you should know that I’m always going to bounce back. That was my only issue. It don’t bother me when they say that.”

Cornerback Dashaun Phillips and safety/linebacker Su’a Cravens were also limited in practice, so there may be multiple reinforcements for the Redskins defense come Sunday.
